Are Sukunj sarees handwoven or handcrafted?
Many of our pieces — Banarasi, Ajrakh, Kalamkari, Bandhani, hand-painted chiffons and more — involve genuine handwork, from weaving to hand-painting to hand-embroidery. Each product page notes the craft technique used, so you know exactly what you're getting.
Can I request a custom saree or a specific colour?

What is the "Shop with a Weaver" video call?
It's a private video session with a Sukunj artisan specialist — you get to see the fabric's texture and hand-feel over camera, watch how the saree drapes in real time, and ask questions before you buy. Book a slot from our collection page.
Will the saree look exactly like the photos?
We photograph every piece as true to life as possible, but fabric colour can shift slightly depending on your screen and lighting. If a colour has strong dye-lot variation, we'll note it on the product page.
Does the saree come with a stitched blouse?
This varies by product — some sarees include an unstitched blouse piece, others come with a ready-made blouse. Check the individual product page for specifics, or write in if you're not sure.
How do I care for my saree?
Most of our silk and hand-worked pieces are best dry-cleaned, especially for the first wash. Care instructions are included with every order — when in doubt, dry clean is the safer choice for anything with zari, stone, or handwork.
